Lynn Roosevelt Wiggins, a proud 4th-generation Detroiter, brings a wealth of experience in politics, workforce development, and public policy. Born in Ann Arbor, MI, and raised in Detroit, Lynn has dedicated the past 20 years to advancing local and national initiatives that empower communities and drive positive change.
Lynn's career has spanned various sectors, including marketing, government, and nonprofit agencies, with a particular focus on supporting youth, formerly incarcerated individuals and adult job seekers. His work has taken him across the country, from Florida to the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Nevada, and Michigan, where he has consistently demonstrated his commitment to social impact and community development.
In February 2011, Lynn embarked on his organizing career through a rigorous four-month fellowship with The Organizing and Leadership Academy (TOLA). During this program, he received intensive, hands-on training in organizing and leadership from some of the most influential figures in local, state, and national politics. This experience laid the foundation for his continued success in the field.
Following the completion of his fellowship, Lynn returned briefly to Detroit before embarking on a journey that saw him contribute to over 50 projects across the United States over the past decade, achieving a remarkable 75% success rate. His work has made a significant impact on the communities he has served, and his strategic approach to organizing has been instrumental in driving meaningful change.
Five years ago, Lynn returned to his hometown of Detroit, where he has been actively involved in multiple projects aimed at supporting the city's ongoing renaissance. His deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Detroit, coupled with his passion for community empowerment, makes him a valuable asset.
Lynn continues to apply his extensive experience and leadership skills to further the mission of ensuring that organizations remain a powerful force for positive change in the communities they serve.
